Michelin partners with Deftpower to launch its new charging solution, MICHELIN EV Charge, helping fleets control and reduce charging costs
MICHELIN Connected Fleet has launched MICHELIN EV Charge, a charging solution that gives fleet managers and drivers across Europe access to more than 1.2 million charge points through a single, dedicated app. Powered by Deftpower and fully integrated into the MyConnectedFleet platform, the solution aggregates charging and telematics data so fleets can analyse usage and optimise their charging costs, helping to lower their total cost of ownership.

“MICHELIN EV Charge is more than just a simple charging solution,” said Sophie Foucque, CEO of MICHELIN Connected Fleet. “By aggregating charging data with fleet vehicle data, we give companies a more detailed insight into vehicle usage and actionable solutions for bringing energy costs down. This new solution gives us more leverage to support fleet managers at each step of their transition to a more sustainable form of mobility by reconciling operational performance and cost control.”
Corporate fleet electrification is speeding up across Europe, with business vehicles accounting for almost 6 out of 10 new EV registrations. According to the 2026 Arval Mobility Observatory Barometer, 57% of fleets already include electric vehicles and a further 19% intend to switch to electric in the next three years. Drivers increasingly charge across many different networks, each with its own tariffs and access methods, which makes roaming harder for fleet managers to oversee and control as EV numbers rise.
“Fleet electrification should mean lower costs and less complexity, not more work for drivers and fleet managers,” said Jacob van Zonneveld, CEO at Deftpower. “We are proud that MICHELIN Connected Fleet, a name thousands of fleet customers already rely on, chose Deftpower to make charging straightforward for its drivers. Fleet managers now benefit from a more transparent charging overview and turn going electric into a measurable saving. This is exactly what we need to accelerate fleet electrification across Europe.”
As EVs become central to business mobility, the charging experience and its cost will play a decisive role in how quickly organisations scale their EV fleets. Deftpower will continue to develop its MSP 2.0 platform supporting MICHELIN Connected Fleet and the wider industry, making it easier for all fleets across Europe to go fully electric.
